A perfect day to walk in the forest
By Lauren Dawkins
Don't let the snow stop you this winter; break out the snow shoes and get out there. Despite a little car-getting-stuck incident, our crew made the most of a beautiful snowy day by exploring some snow covered woods in Indian Heaven.

Mount Shuksan is located in North Cascades National Park but the picture was taken from The Mount Baker Wilderness Area. This is a must see for all people hiking or visiting Washington State. One of my favorite photographed mountains in Washington State. How could anyone not love this state!

Great views of Mount Baker along the Table Mountain Trail in The Mount Baker Wilderness. This is a must see for all people living or visiting Washington State. Drive to Artist Point parking lot at the end of Highway 542. You can hike or just take in the fantastic views from the parking lot.
No peaks today just a nice stroll through the forest..
A view of the top along the Marmot Pass Trail. A fantastic place to view of flowers, snow capped mountains in a well known dry section of Olympic National Forest of The Buckhorn Wilderness.
A fantastic view from high upon a bluff near Sand Point along the Ozette Triangle 9.2 mile loop trail.

NOT ONE RIPPLE ON THE LAKE THIS MORNING...
We packed ourselves up Table Mountain, one of the Gorge's toughest hikes, the other day for a breathtaking view of the local mountains and the beautiful Columbia. Of course, the sunrise in the trees wasn't bad either!
First time doing this hike and it was a mighty good one.
Trail to wallace falls
Near the trailhead at Monte Cristo Mine Hike off of Mountain Loop Highway. Within the first half mile of the 8 mile round trip hike looking up the embankment. This was taken in the late afternoon just after a warm August rain shower in 2013.

There were several saxifrage blooming on a rock wall beside the bridge about a mile from the Herrick Road TH for the West Elwha Trail.
