I've never seen so much hair ice in my life, the road leading to TH and the first few miles of upper trail covered in hair ice formations. This was very exciting for me, i've seen a few pieces on dead wood a couple times, but never this much! After that excitement we took lower trail up, few trees down and branches from recent storms. We saw 2 herds of goats today! We were the only hikers. The wind was fierce at the lake, we didn't stay long. More goats spotted at the lake in usual spot i see them. Great day with good friend.

Wow, Goats at Goat Lake

Nice catch with the mountain goats. We've been there but have never seen goats. Also the wind formed ice crystals are amazing. We don't often see such formations on this side of the Cascades. Thanks for sharing the report and pics.
