Parked about 1 mile from the TH once the snow patches on the road became deep enough to make walking seem more sensible than driving.
Trail was in pretty good shape for the first mile and then became more and more snow covered. Only one set of fairly old foot prints so the trail was less than obvious in a couple of places.
The snow was fairly firm for the most part, with the occasional knee deep postholes to keep you honest. We carried micro spikes but never felt the need to use them
All in all a good day out, and nice to find some sun as it was raining when we left Seattle
