Sunset Hill Park offers stunning views of the Olympic Mountains and Puget Sound. Appropriately named, the panorama from this park is best enjoyed at sunset, though a visit any time of day can be pleasant.

Popular with folks in the neighborhood, you will likely have company here at this small park, including runners stopping for a breather and to take in the view, kids, dogs, and visitors like you. Bring a coat -- being on a bluff overlooking the water, the wind can be chilly up here any time of year.

A panoramic map identifies the mountains on the horizon in front of you, and points out several interesting facts about the area. Once you've got your fill of the view on the horizon, look down. There you'll see the boats in Shilshole Bay Marina, one of the West Coast's largest marinas.
